Republic Commando (PC)

going back to explore the
places that I missed)
Battlefront II (PC)
(fun to do battle on the

       minor planets that were in

      the last movie)
Knights of the Old Republic
II (PC) (Meh, more RPG than
               FPS; good graphics though)
Google Earth (much easier
to use with a 3Dconnexion
SpaceNavigator controller;
works great with a lot of
              RAM, a widescreen LCD &

And Another Thing by Eoin
Colfer. The sixth book in the

          (late) Douglas Adams' Hitch-

         hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
              series.
Anathem by Neal Stephen-
son.  It's 900+ pages so it's
taking a while.  Good read so
far.
Next by Michael Crichton.
I've read every one of his

            books. He can get preachy

           and repeats himself a lot,

but still a great read.  A lot

         more characters to keep

track of in this one.  The

       ending is a little Disney/

      Spielberg-ish.

The Big Bang Theory (my
new favorite with excellent
writing & acting)
The Office (great characters;
now far superior to its British
counterpart)
24 (ridiculously improbable
but great fun to watch)
*Day 6 was lame, Day 7 was

       better, Day 8 just started
Lost (frustratingly vague at
times; other times, like
watching a live version of
Myst or Riven - only with
               good-looking people)
Dexter
Modern Family
House (it's not vasculitis)
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The IT Crowd
The Guild  *simply brilliant

Space for a camera in the iPad                             February 1, 2010
Above is a replacement iPad frame and (mouseover pic) to see
the location of the missing camera unit.  The top pic shows a
close up of the iPad frame, along with a
MacBook camera
component
and an identical space in a MacBook lid frame.

The $499 JooJoo (formerly the Crunchpad)       February 2, 2010
Although starting at the same price point as the Apple iPad, the
JooJoo's 12.1" LCD screen is larger, supports 1080p HD and is
widescreen.  It also has a built-in webcam and can run Flash
and Java right out of the box.  Unfortunately, it's wifi-only (no 3G)
and its SSD is tiny at only 4GB (versus iPad's 64GB).

Boeing's new Dreamliner interior also sports a suspiciously
high ceiling.  Coach seats look uncomfortable as ever though.
